Mental Health Facility Expert Witnesses in Connecticut

This expert has been practicing for over 40 years and has experience in both hospital and ambulatory care settings. A Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist, she has been honored as a Fellow of both the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. A Former President of the Greater New York Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, she is a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Nursing, the Journal of Pediatric Health Care, as well as The American Journal for Nurse Practitioners. The recipient of awards such as Nurse Practitioner of the Year by the Nurse Practitioner Association of Long Island and the Nelms-Miller Editorial Award by the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, she is involved in research to improve the health care outcomes for children and has been awarded thousands of dollars in grants. As a Residence Case Manager for a major Cerebral Palsy corporation, this expert supervised staff at two residential locations and managed the cases for up to 12 consumers, preparing all program documentation for consumers based on Residential Habilitation Plans and Office for People With Developmental Disabilities regulations Currently, and since January 2010, this expert is a Director at United Cerebral Palsy, wherein she is the administrator of a 22-bed Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled. She supervises a staff of 75, which includes direct care workers, management, clinical, physicians, and nursing staff. She is responsible for the training of all staff, she develops policies and procedures for all systems, and she is also in charge of all Incident Management.

This well-credentialed expert is a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey, as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New York. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Adelphi University, his M.A. in Clinical Psychology, and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
