Interscalene Brachial Plexus Block Expert Witnesses in Alabama

This expert has over twenty five years of experience as a nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Over his career, this CRNA worked for multiple independent anesthesia firms providing anesthesia services to various hospitals across Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas and Kentucky. Much of his work is done in CRNA-only rural hospitals and surgery centers. This expert has also worked as a clinical instructor at Arkansas State University and Union University in the nurse anesthesia programs. Currently, this CRNA works in a small community hospital providing anesthesia services for multiple surgical specialties and obstetrics. Additionally, this expert provides services for a free-standing GI center.

This expert completed his PhD in Neuropharmacology in the UK and completed postgraduate work at the Tennessee University Center for the Health Sciences. He is also extensively published in his field, and has been involved with numerous research projects. Finally, he is a national speaker on topics in rehabilitation medicine.

This expert earned his BSN from the University of Texas. He then went on to earn his Masters in Nursing with a focus in Anesthesia from The University of Tennessee. He has been an active CRNA for over 18 years and has provided anesthesia for a large range of procedures and in a variety of settings including private practices and hospitals. He is active in his field as a member of numerous societies and committees including The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and The Tennessee Association of Nurse Anesthetists. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Innovative Anesthesia Management where he had clinical and administrative oversight of 20 facilities in 12 states with over 150 CRNAs. He currently owns a multi-specialty CRNA group in Tennessee and actively provides clinical anesthesia services as an independent contractor in various hospital settings. He is well versed with JCAHO, AAAHC and AAAASF standards.

This expert earned his BS in pharmacy from the University of Georgia, and began his professional career working as a pharmacist at Big B Drugs, Rite Aid Pharmacy and Oconee Family Pharmacy in Georgia. After working at a pharmacist for nearly a decade, he went on to earn his MD from Mercer University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in anesthesia and a fellowship in pain management at Georgia Health Sciences University. This expert is board certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine and addiction medicine, and is an active member of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He has served as a staff anesthesiologist at Georgia Health Sciences University, an interventional pain management physician at Ancora Pain Recovery, and a physician at Spine Center Atlanta. Currently, this expert serves as a staff anesthesiologist at a VA medical center in Georgia, and an anesthesiologist at an anesthesiology group.
