Equine Expert Witnesses

This expert is an internationally acclaimed clinician, presenting horsemanship and riding clinics in many areas of the US and in Europe. He has worked with horses all his life, being involved in diverse fields including the ranching, motion picture and horse training industries.

This New Jersey licensed occupational therapist received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Philadelphia University and a Bachelor's of Science in Equine Studies from Averett University. She is a board certified Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist (HPCS) and teaches other therapists about the field via fieldwork student supervision, national conference presentations and her extensive involvement with the American Hippotherapy Association. She is also a PATH certified Advanced riding, driving and vaulting instructor and has served on the PATH Health and Education Advisory. She maintains a private practice providing occupational therapy services as well as workshops and consultation for those interested in equine assisted activities and therapy.

This expert is certified by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) as an Equine Specialist in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She has operated a Parelli Natural Horsemanship approved facility in New Jersey for more than 15 years, accumulated a wealth of experience in the rehabilitation of horses, donkeys, ponies, and mules. She is adept in the observation of herd behavior and equine communication, running the largest sanctuary herd in the state. She has 15+ years of experience providing equine therapy to mentally and physically handicapped individuals.

This expert has been in the equine industry for over 40 years and has developed a custom riding program that she has applied to thousands of students and horses of all styles and breeds. She has offered headline presentations at the Certified Horsemanship Assn. International Conference for Riding Instructors, the International Society of Rider Biomechanics, the World Equestrian Games, the US Pony Club National Convention, and many other regional and local equestrian events. She has also been a guest on nationally syndicated radio shows, created a popular YouTube channel, and penned articles published by Horse Collaborative, Omega Fields, Horse and Pony (Florida Edition), and Florida Horseman Magazine. She has also been certified as a Master Clinician Instructor with the Horsemanship Safety Association where she was in charge of the Advanced Instructor Programs.

This highly qualified expert is an USHJA certified equestrian trainer and clinician with 40+ years of experience as an equine specialist. She holds an USEF "R" judges' license in the divisions of hunter, hunter seat equitation, jumper and hunter breeding. She is also a certified senior equine appraiser at the American Society of Equine Appraisers. She is a life member of various equestrian associations, including USEF and USHJA. She has qualified over 30 riders to numerous national equitation championship finals and won the Long Island Professional Association's Virginia Rice Trophy for her outstanding achievements in equestrian sports. Currently, she works as a professional freelance trainer and riding instructor on Long Island.

This expert earned her BS in animal science at Cornell University and her DVM at the University of Illinois. She is currently pursuing her PhD in veterinary forensics through the University of Florida. This expert is a licensed veterinarian and active in her field as a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She has 20 years of experience as an equine practitioner and has worked as an associate veterinarian at Taylor Veterinary Hospital and High Desert Equine. She currently is the owner of an equine veterinary clinic in Colorado.
