He received his MD degree from UC San Diego and his PhD from the University of Chicago. After serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Epidemiology at the prestigious University of Washington Public Health School, he was an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Toronto before moving to his current position more than two decades ago. He is Associate Editor of a National Cancer Publication, Editor of an International Cancer Publication, and a Member of the Board of Editors for the American Journal of Epidemiology. This expert has reviewed a number of legal cases involving several major drugs and other agents and postmarketing adverse effects, and has experience in depositions.

After earning his BS from the University of Massachusetts, this expert went on to become a certified safety professional and ergonomics assessment specialist.
