This expert is board certified in dermatology and completed fellowship training in dermatologic surgery/mohs micrographic surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Immediately following his time at Wayne state, this doctor moved to his current position at a GA university as the director of the GI Oncology program . He is designated as a Distinguished Cancer Scholar by the Georgia Cancer Coalition. He is also currently the medical director of the Clinical Trials Office, where his mission relies on translational projects related to gastrointestinal malignancies, specifically pancreatic and colorectal cancer, to bring observations derived from invitro models of cancer cell growth to the clinic. He has over 150 peer reviewed publications, and is the lead clinical investigator on at least eight trials focused on the evaluation of novel treatments in patients with early stage or advanced cancer.

This board-certified expert has extensive clinical and research experience in Urology, Urologic Oncology and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. He currently practices in Macon, GA (pop. 92,000). He received his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina following a BS from Brown University. He completed an Internship in General Surgery and a Residency in Urology at the Medical College of Virginia, where he was Chief Resident.
