About the expert

This expert is an internationally renown authority on SIP, VoIP technologies, PSTN transition issues, and Next Generation Network Signaling. Formerly this expert was a member of the Communications Security Reliability and Interoperability Council (CSRIC) of the United States Federal Communication Commission. He has testified and filed before the United States Federal Communications Commission and the Canadian Radiotelevision and Telecommunications Commission. Presently, this expert is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SIP Forum, an IP communications industry association that engages in numerous activities that promote and advance SIP-based technology. Among its activities are the development of industry recommendations such as SIPconnect for enterprise IP-PBX to service provider interconnection, the SIPit interoperability and testing events, various educational seminars, and the general promotion of SIP in the industry. Presently, he is the Principal of a private consultancy advising telecommunications companies, technology suppliers, the investment community and national regulatory agencies issues related to Voice over IP, Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) Transition, Network Design and Architecture, Peering, Numbering and Signaling.
