Dr. Michael G. Argenziano has 21 years of experience in the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He earned his BA in Biology from Columbia University and his MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing his internship in Surgery and his residency in Cardiothoracic Surgery, he went on to complete his fellowships in Surgery, Defibrillator Surgery, and Mechanical Cardiac Assistance at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Scientific Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Laboratory and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Currently, he serves as Calvin F. Barber Professor of Surgery, Director of the Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and Arrhythmia Surgery Programs and the Thoracic Surgery Residency Program in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He also works as the Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Garnet Health Medical Center.
