Dr. Gerard Catanese, MD

Dr. Gerard A. Catanese has specialized experience in the fields of Forensic Pathology and Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. They earned their BS in Biology from St. John's University and their MD from SUNY Downstate Medical School. After completing their residencies in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology at SUNY Downstate Medical School, they went on to complete a fellowship in Forensic Pathology at the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Today, the expert holds certifications in Forensic Pathology and Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology. Previously, they held roles as a Deputy Chief Medical Examiner at the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office, as a Deputy Medical Examiner at the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office, and as the City Medical Examiner at the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Currently, they work as a Self-Employed Consultant.
