Dr. Thomas A. Sporn has over 27 years of experience in the field of Pathology. He earned his BA in German and Zoology from the University of Vermont and his MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, he stayed at the same hospital to complete a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Later, he completed a residency in Anatomic Pathology and a fellowship in Pulmonary Pathology at Duke University Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Internal Medicine, Anatomic Pathology, and Forensic Pathology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and as the Chief of the Section of Pulmonary and Thoracic Pathology at Duke University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at Duke University School of Medicine and as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at ECU Brody School of Medicine.
