He earned both his BS in Biology and his Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Utah before obtaining his MD from the University of Utah School of Medicine. After completing a residency in Anatomic Pathology at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics, he went on to complete a fellowship in Cytopathology at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics. Formerly, this expert served as the Director of Placental Pathology and as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Pathology and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. He currently serves as a Professor of Pathology, Biomedical Engineering, and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. He also serves as the Director of the Cytopathology Fellowship Program and as the Principal Investigator of the Morgan Research Laboratory at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine.
