Dr. Joye Carter, MD

Dr. Joye Carter, MD earned her BA from Wittenberg University and her MD from Howard University School of Medicine. After completing her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology this expert went on to complete a fellowship in forensic pathology. She is board certified in forensic pathology and anatomic and clinical pathology. She is also active in her field as a member of several medical societies including the National Medical Association, the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners and the American Medical Association. Formerly, she held roles as a clinical professor of pathology at Indiana University, as the chief medical examiner of Harris County and as the chief forensic pathologist to the Marion County Coroner. Currently, she is a forensic pathology consultant.
