Dr. Jack Owens, MD, MPH, CPE, FAAP

Dr. Jack D. Owens has specialized experience in the fields of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Neonatology. They earned their BS in Biology and Chemistry from Point Loma Nazarene University, their MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama, and their MD from Emory University School of Medicine. After completing their residency in Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine, they went on to complete a fellowship in Neonatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine. Today, the expert holds certifications in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatrics. Previously, they held roles as a Neonatologist and Medical Director at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Chief Medical Quality Director at Phoebe Physician Group, and Chief Quality Officer at the Phoebe Putney Health System. Currently, they work as a Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Ballad Health, the Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Niswonger Children's Hospital, and Professor and Division Director of Neonatology at East Tennessee State University.
