Dr. Daniel H. Geschwind has 27 years of experience in the field of Neurology. He earned his BA in Chemistry and Psychology from Dartmouth College and both his MD and Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Yale University School of Medicine. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Neurology, he went on to complete a fellowship in Neurogenetics, all at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Today, this expert is board-certified in Neurology. Formerly, this expert served as a Research Associate at the Boston Consulting Group and as an Associate Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Neurology. Currently, he serves as the Principal Investigator of the Geschwind Lab, as the Director of the Neurogenetics Program, as the Gordon and Virginia MacDonald Distinguished Chair of Human Genetics, and as the Gordon and Virginia MacDonald Distinguished Professor in the Departments of Human Genetics, Neurology, and Psychiatry. He is also the Co-Director of the Center for Neurobehavior Genetics and the Director of the Center for Autism Research and Treatment at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. Moreover, he is the Associate Director of Precision Health for the UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Senior Associate Dean and Associate Vice Chancellor of Precision Health for UCLA Health, and the Director of the Institute for Precision Health at the University of California, Los Angeles. Lastly, he also holds the title of Honorary Affiliate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
