Dr. Carolyn Salafia, MD, MS

Dr. Carolyn M. Salafia has years of experience in the field of Reproductive Pathology. She earned her BA in Romance Languages from Dartmouth College, her MD from the Duke University School of Medicine, and her MS in Biostatistics from Columbia University. She completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as a fellowship in Pathology at Danbury Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, as well as Pediatric Pathology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a Research Scientist at the New York State Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities. Currently, she serves as the Founder of Placental Analytics, LLC, where she also serves as a Pathologist. She also serves as the Head of the Placental Modulation Laboratory at the New York State Institute for Basic Research in Developmental Disabilities and as a Director of Research in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens.
