He received his MD degree from McGill University and went on to complete a Residency in Neurology at UC Davis, then a fellowship in Human Motor Control and Neurophysiology at the NIH and then another fellowship in Movement Disorders at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of various professional associations, including the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society. He has published 150+ peer-reviewed journal articles, and 12 book chapters. he has presented at multiple neurology conferences, and has received multiple awards and honors for his work as an academic and practitioner. He is a former Co-Director of Neurology Grand Rounds, current co-director of the Movement Disorders fellowship program and has been a Professor of Neurology since 2010 at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He has named among the top doctors in Seattle and Washington state for several years since 2010.
