He received his PhD degree from Princeton University and his MD degree from the University of Rochester, where he completed both his internship and residency trainings in surgery. He is a fellow at the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of various other professional associations. He has published 12+ peer-reviewed journal articles and lectures nationwide. He is the former director of ACLS at the emergency department of the University of Rochester, which awarded him for his excellence in the clinical teaching of emergency medicine.
