Traumatic Brain Injury Expert Witnesses in California

This expert is a Professor of Neurology and Director of the Center for Headache Medicine at an Ivy League University. Prior to joining the university as a senior clinical research scientist in molecular neurobiology, this expert attended University of Southern California, Keck Medical School, completed a residency program at USC Department of Neurology and served on faculty there until 2000. He is Board Certified in the areas of: Psychiatry and Neurology and Pain Medicine. He also holds subspecialty certification in Headache Medicine. This expert is widely published in various scientific journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association Cephalalgia, and Headache. He has authored book chapters lectures both nationally and internationally on a variety of headache topics, and has appeared on NBC, CBS and has been featured in articles ranging from the San Francisco Chronicle to Vogue Magazine. His primary research interest is the pathophysiology of chronic daily headache, utilizing functional imaging, body fluid analysis and deep phenotyping. He has been the recipient of NIH, foundation, industry and individual grants and gifts for his research.

This highly qualified neuropsychology expert is a licensed psychologist specializing in TBI, autism, and developmental delays. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and went on to receive her MS in clinical health and psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville. She went on to complete her Ph.D. in clinical and health psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology at the same institution. She completed a neuropsychology internship at the University of Florida before completing a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the VA Northern California Health Care System. She is an active member of her community as a member of the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association. She has formerly held appointments in psychology, neurology, and clinical science at multiple different institutions, including, Santa Fe Community College and the University of California at Berkeley. She has also worked, clinically, for VA Northern California Health Care System and John Muir Medical Center. Currently, she serves as an assistant clinical professor of neurology at a major University in California, an expert reviewer and examiner for a state psychology board and as a psychologist for a private psychological practice in California.

This expert is an internal medicine physician with experience in musculoskeletal injuries and traumatic brain injury. He earned his BA in biology from the University of Virginia and his MD from George Washington University. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at George Washington University Medical Center and is now board certified in internal medicine. He formerly held a position at the University of California, San Diego as an associate professor of internal medicine and is currently an internal medicine physician at a private practice in California.
