She is a member of several professional societies including the American Nursing Association and the Oncology Nursing Society. She has formerly served as an oncology nurse at Columbia University Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center and as an adult oncology nurse practitioner at NYU Langone Clinical Cancer Center. She is currently a certified adult nurse practitioner and an advanced oncology certified nurse at a prominent outpatient cancer center in Texas.

He received his BS in nuclear engineering, his MS in medical physics and his PhD in Medical Physics all from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
