Physical Education Expert Witnesses in Kentucky

This well seasoned professor of higher education has over 30 years of experience in physical education and recreational sports. Throughout his career he has been a member of several professional societies including the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA), the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO). He served as Director of NIRSA in two different states (New York and Pennsylvania). He is a certified recreational sports specialist and graduated from the NIRSA School of Recreational Sport Management. He has been invited to give professional presentations throughout the country on various topics such as, “Ethics in campus recreation programs,” and “Status of campus recreation programs in North America." He has published extensively in professional publications including Recreational Sports Journal, the Journal of International Council for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport, and Dance and Risk Management for Campus Recreation. Most notably, he published articles on Selected risk management policies for intramural activities and club sport legal liability practices. He received the NIRSA Horace Moody Award which recognizes professional members who have made contributions to student development by their encouragement, support, and performance. He is currently an instructor in the department of human movement, sport, and leisure studies of an Ohio based university.

This highly qualified expert is an Associate Professor of Community Health and Physical Education. She has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology (Physical Education Teacher Education) from the College of Physical Activity and Sports Science at West Virginia University, a MS in Community Health Education from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, and a BS in Health and Physical Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She was among the first group of health educators in the United States certified as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist. With over twenty years in her field she has presented and been published in numerous scholarly articles relating to topics on health education and wellness.
