This board certified expert has been in clinical practice for over 10 years and is currently the Vice Chairman of the department of Surgery at his clinical institution. He is also the Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program. He completed his residency training at the Tulsa Regional Medical Center (now Oklahoma State University Medical Center) and St. Francis Hospital. He is a member of numerous surgical associations and institutional committees that ensure excellence in surgical technique and outcomes. He is actively involved in research and his interests lie primarily in general and laparoscopic surgery, chronic wound care, complex ventral hernias, and endoscopy. He has authored over 10 book chapters and delivered over 25 invited lectures and presentations. Formerly, he held a teaching position as Instructor of Surgery in Vanderbilt's prestigious surgery department. Currently, he is Assistant Professor of Surgery at a top tier medical school.

Following residency he entered private practice in Palm Coast, Florida where his interests expanded to include robotic surgery until his return to Texas as an Associate Professor to help rebuild and expand the Department of Surgery.
