Earning his MD from University of Ioannina Medical School in Greece with summa cum laude honors, he went on to serve as a Research Scholar at Northwestern University College of Medicine. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital while his Rheumatology Fellowship took place at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian/Cornell Campus. The expert has extensive expertise in the treatment of autoimmune disorders encompassing, but not limited to, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome and Vasculitis. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and has served as Clinical Investigator in multiple, international, randomized controlled trials. He has served as an ad hoc reviewer, editorial board member and Lead Editor in peer-reviewed rheumatology journals. Formerly he served as Chief of Rheumatology at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center and as a professor at New Jersey Medical School. Currently he acts as the Associate Chief of Rheumatology at a major New York medical center while concurrently teaching at a major New York medical college.
