He is a Fellow of the highly regarded American College of Surgeons. He has been widely published in journals such as the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Clinics of North America. He is frequently invited to lecture as a guest speaker at engagements both nationally and internationally. He is an innovator in his field and holds a patent for a novel treatment for sepsis. Additionally, he leads a basic science laboratory studying the immune consequences of traumatic brain injury and has been funded by the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Shock Society, The Central Surgical Association, and the American College of Surgeons. Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Trauma and Critical Care at a major medical university on a tenure track.

This highly qualified and certified rheumatologist has extensive experience having practiced for over 13 years. Earning his MD from University of Ioannina Medical School in Greece with summa cum laude honors, he went on to serve as a Research Scholar at Northwestern University College of Medicine. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital while his Rheumatology Fellowship took place at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian/Cornell Campus. The expert has extensive expertise in the treatment of autoimmune disorders encompassing, but not limited to, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome and Vasculitis. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and has served as Clinical Investigator in multiple, international, randomized controlled trials. He has served as an ad hoc reviewer, editorial board member and Lead Editor in peer-reviewed rheumatology journals. Formerly he served as Chief of Rheumatology at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center and as a professor at New Jersey Medical School. Currently he acts as the Associate Chief of Rheumatology at a major New York medical center while concurrently teaching at a major New York medical college.
