This webinar is presented by a highly qualified academic and clinical expert in the areas of pediatrics, child abuse / forensic pediatrics and life care planning. She is a Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College and Director of Child Abuse Pediatrics at Westchester Medical Center. The presenter has extensive research, clinical, and academic expertise in the areas of physical abuse, child accidents, child fatalities, child product usage, and life care planning related to catastrophic injury. Specific topics of expertise in the product liability area include proper product usage and supervision, sleep-related deaths, fractures, burns, suffocation, strangulation, entrapment, and choking.

The presenter received her BA and MPH from Johns Hopkins University and her MD from the State University of New York Buffalo. Her residency was in Pediatrics at the Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine and her fellowship was in child abuse pediatrics / forensic pediatrics was completed at the Hackensack University Medical Center / University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is board certified in pediatrics and child abuse pediatrics. Having published extensively in her field, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Science and is a certified physician life care planner.
