This case involves a dispute over intellectual property relating to the research and development of orthopedic implants. The manufacturer of several implant products for tibial and femoral shaft fractures alleged that a competitor infringed on patented designs in the development of a similar implant product. An engineering expert with experience developing these types of implants was sought to review and evaluate the assertions made and determine whether there was any infringement of the manufacturer’s intellectual property.

I have both a Ph.D. and an MSME degree in mechanical engineering from an elite research university. I have taught at the university level, and I have in-depth consulting experience in medical devices and other fields. I have worked as a mechanical engineering consultant for several different companies developing a range of spinal and bone fixation products. I have worked as a consultant specifically on implants and how they may enhance bone growth. I have served as an expert witness in intellectual property matters involving patents for medical devices and other high tech devices for both plaintiff and defense. I have authored expert reports for both invalidity and non-infringement.
