Immersive Technology Manufacturer Fails To Disclose Poor Supply Chain Management

This case involves a company that manufactured virtual reality consoles. Allegedly, the company executives artificially inflated the company’s stock value by making statements that there was a high demand for their consoles. However, the company executives failed to disclose that company was having supply chain issues that resulted in poor quality control. The demand for their consoles was not as high as they stated due to the poor quality of the semiconductors within the product.
