Job Description

About the Position

We’re looking for a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our summer internship program. This internship will provide hands on experience in technology and front end development within a collaborative, fast-paced, start-up environment. This is a great opportunity to combine your creative and technical skills to assist with the creation, maintenance and evolution of our company’s website and technology platform. 

Our Software Engineer Intern will have the opportunity to: 

  • Assist in the development of our recently-launched, proprietary software ExpertIQ which enables our legal clients to more efficiently interact with experts within our network.

  • Impact the front end development of our website 

  • Gain hands on experience writing and testing code using Javascript, HTML and CSS. 

  • Participate in 2-week development sprint cycles

  • Perform testing and debugging on various computer programming projects

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the site-wide design works on various platforms

  • Update, maintain, and troubleshoot issues on our website 

  • Participate in team meetings

  • Work on administrative ad-hoc projects as needed

Technologies We Use:

  • HTML, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node + ExpressJS, Python, PostgreSQL

  • Fully cloud hosted - AWS, Google Cloud 

  • Using Agile Methodology

Qualifications

  • Working towards B.A or B.S in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Junior or Senior year students encouraged to apply

  • Beginner knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and/or CSS

  • Interest in learning new technology concepts, applications and best practices

  • Strong communicator both written and verbally

  • Collaborative mindset 

  • Creative analytical and problem solving skills

  • Portfolio/website required to apply
