About Prof. Yuji Zhao

This highly-qualified expert in LED technology earned his BS in microelectronics at Fudan University and his PhD in electrical and computer engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). While at UCSB, he worked under Professor Shuji Nakamura, who is widely-regarded as the inventor of GaN LEDs and received the Nobel Prize in physics for her contributions to the LED field. This expert is active in his field as a researcher with over 50 publications on the topic of LEDs and as a member of the Optical Society of America. He has formerly served as an assistant project scientist at UCSB's Solid State Lighting & Energy Electronics Center, as well as an assistant professor of electrical, computer and energy engineering at Arizona State University. He is currently an associate professor of electrical, computer, and energy engineering at a major university in Arizona.
