About Dr. William Sinton Cobb IV, FACS, MD
Dr. William S. Cobb has 17 years of experience in the field of Surgery. He earned his BS in Zoology from the University of Georgia and his MD from the Medical College of Georgia. After completing a residency in Surgery at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery at the Carolinas Medical Center. Today, he is board-certified in General Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as the Chief of the Department of Surgery, Division of Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, and as a Co-Director of the Hernia Center at the Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery for Prisma Health, as a General Surgeon at the Hernia Center within the Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, and as a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville.
