Dr. Tyrone Krause, MD

Dr. Tyrone J. Krause has years of experience in the field of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. He earned his BA in Religion from New York University, his MD from New York Medical College, and his JD from Rutgers Law School. After completing his residency in General Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, he went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Today, he is board-certified in Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery. Formerly, he held roles as an Associate Professor of Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, as the Associate Director of the Cardio-Vascular Institute at Saint Michael's Medical Center, and as the Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Saint Michael's Medical Center. Currently, he serves as the Co-Program Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program, as the Chairman of Surgery at Jersey City Medical Center, and as a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
