About Dr. Terrance Thomas Kummer, MD, PhD

Dr. Terrance T. Kummer has 10 years of experience in Neurology. He earned his BS from the University of Minnesota and his MD and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his residency in Neurology and his fellowship in Neurocritical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurology and certified in Neurocritical Care. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Instructor and Assistant Professor of Critical Care Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Currently, he serves as an Attending Physician in the Neurology/Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He also works as an Associate Professor of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he leads the Kummer Lab, a lab that studies the mechanisms of cellular damage in traumatic brain injury (TBI) and in Alzheimer’s disease.
