Dr. Susan Talbert, MD, FACS

Dr. Susan M. Talbert has specialized experience in the fields of Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. They earned their BS in Nutrition from the University of Saint Joseph and their MD from SUNY Downstate Medical School. After completing their residency in General Surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, they went on to complete a fellowship at Landeskrankenhaus Salzburg. Today, the expert holds certifications in Surgical Critical Care and Surgery. Previously, they held roles as the Acting Director of the Trauma Service at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, as the Associate Chief of Trauma, Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery at Mount Sinai Morningside, and as the Director of the Medical Student Surgical Clerkship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Currently, they work as an Attending Physician with the Mount Sinai Health System and as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
