About Dr. Steve Warthen Martin, PhD

Dr. Steve W. Martin has 36 years of experience in the field of Materials Science. He earned his BA in Chemistry from Capital University and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Purdue University. Formerly, he served as the Director of Graduate Education and as a Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Iowa State University. He also worked as an Associate Staff Member in the Division of Materials Science and Engineering at Ames Laboratory. He currently serves as both an University Professor and as an Anson Marston Distinguished Professor in Engineering in the Department of Materials Sciences and Engineering at Iowa State University, where he is also the Leader of the Glass and Energy Materials Group.
