Dr. Shawn McKinney, MD, MPH, FACS

Dr. Shawn A. McKinney has specialized experience in the fields of Breast Surgery, Surgery, and Surgical Oncology. They earned their BS in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana, their MPH in Health Policy and Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, and their MD from Morehouse School of Medicine. After completing their residency in Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine, they went on to complete a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Baylor University Medical Center. Today, the expert holds a certification in Surgery. Previously, they held roles as a Surgical Consultant at St. Mary's Medical Center, Assistant Professor of Surgery at University Physicians & Surgeons, Inc., and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Currently, they work as the Vice Chair of Quality and Safety at the LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine and Professor of Clinical Surgery at Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
