Dr. Shannon Tierney, MD, MS

Dr. Shannon N. Tierney has specialized experience in the fields of Surgical Oncology and Surgery. They earned their BA in Chemistry from Transylvania University, their MD in Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and their MS in Health Evaluation Sciences from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. After completing their residency in General Surgery at the University of Virginia Health System, they went on to complete a fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Previously, they held roles as a Medical Director at Swedish Cancer Institute and Breast Surgeon and Medical Director of Breast Oncology Program at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Currently, they work as a Breast Surgeon and Medical Director of Breast Oncology Program at Augusta Health Medical Center.
