About Dr. Sebastian Dominik Schubl, FACS, MD

Dr. Sebastian D. Schubl has 10 years of experience in the field of General Surgery. He earned his BA in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University and his MD from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. After completing an internship in General Surgery at the University Medical Center New Orleans, he completed a residency in General Surgery at both the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He went on to complete a fellowship in Burn Surgery at the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, a research fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College, and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care and Trauma at the Univesity of California Irvine Medical Center. Today, this expert is board-certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Formerly, he served as the Medical Director of Trauma Services at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, and as the Medical Director of the UCI Mobile Field Hospital. He currently serves as an Acute Care and Trauma Surgeon, as Bed Czar, as Medical Director of Operations, as Medical Director of Patient Progression, and as Medical Director of the Surgical Stepdown Unit at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. He also serves as a Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery and as Chief of the Division of Emergency General Surgery at the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. Moreover, he also acts as an Owner and Consultant for SDS Consultants, Inc.
