About Dr. Ronald Gary Pearl, FCCM, MD, PhD

Dr. Ronald G. Pearl has 37 years of experience in the fields of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. He earned his BA in Psychology from Yale University, his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and his MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed both an internship and residency in Internal Medicine, a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine, and a second residency in Anesthesiology, all at the Stanford University Medical Center. Today, this expert is board-certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Formerly, he served as the Associate Medical Director of the Medical Transport Program at the Stanford University Medical Center, as an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine, and as the Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs and Finance at the Stanford University School of Medicine. From 1999 to 2021, he also served as the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at the Standford University School of Medicine. He currently serves as an Anesthesiologist at the Stanford University Medical Center, as a Member of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, and as a Richard K. and Erika N. Richards Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
