Dr. Richard Allen, MD, PhD, FACS

Dr. Richard C. Allen has specialized experience in Ophthalmology. They earned their BS in Chemistry from Duke University, their MD from Baylor College of Medicine, and their PhD in Human and Molecular Genetics from Baylor College of Medicine. After completing their residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics, they went on to complete a fellowship in Molecular Ophthalmology there. Today, the expert holds a certification in Ophthalmology. Previously, they held roles as a Professor (Tenured) in the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine, Clinical Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Texas Oculoplastic Consultants, L.L.P. Currently, they work as a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, Chief of Ophthalmology at Harris Health Ben Taub Hospital, and Professor (With Tenure) in the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine.
