Prof. John Tharakan

Prof. John Tharakan in chemical engineering earned his MS in chemical engineering and his PhD in biochemical engineering from the University of California, San Diego. He currently serves as a professor of chemical engineering, the director of graduate studies in chemical engineering, and the director of the biochemical and bioenvironmental engineering research laboratory at a university in New York. Previously, he served as a scientist with the American Red Cross, and an adjunct professor of public health at Howard University. He has numerous publications, and has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Engineering Science and Technology and the Journal of Water Air and Soil Pollution.
