About Dr. Peter Frederick Ehrlich, MD

This expert has over 20 years of experience in the field of pediatric surgery. He earned his BS in biology, his MS in microbiology, and his MD from the University of Toronto. He completed a residency in rotating surgery and a residency in general surgery at the University of Toronto. Soon after, he moved to the United States, where he completed a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the Children's National Medical Center. Today, this expert is dual board certified in general surgery and pediatric surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, such as the American Surgical Association, the American Association of Pediatric Surgeons, and the Society of University Surgeons. He is also active academically, having published 150 peer-reviewed articles, 22 book chapters, and over 140 abstracts related to pediatric surgery. Formerly, this expert was an assistant professor of surgery at the Faculty Center for Rural Emergency Medicine, an associate professor of surgery at West Virginia University, and an associate professor of pediatric surgery at the University of Michigan. He was also the pram director of the pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan. Currently, he is a professor of pediatric surgery, the director of pediatric trauma surgery, and the director of the pediatric surgery clinical research fellowship at a prominent medical school as well as a professor of pediatric surgery at multiple hospitals, all located in Michigan.
