Dr. Paul Phillips, MD

Dr. Paul H. Phillips has over 24 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology, with a focus on Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Neuro-Ophthalmology. He earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Clark University and his M.D. from SUNY at Buffalo Medical School. After completing his residency at the University of Florida Eye Center, Dr. Phillips pursued fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology at The Wilmer Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Emory University Eye Center. Board certified in Ophthalmology, he currently serves as the Professor of Ophthalmology and Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also holds the position of Director of the Jones Eye Institute. Dr. Phillips has been the Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology Service at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and previously held the position of Director of Residency Program at the Jones Eye Institute.
