Dr. Myrick Shinall, MD, PhD

Dr. Myrick C. Shinall has specialized experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Surgery. They earned their BA in Chemistry from Harvard University, their MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and their PhD in Religion from Vanderbilt University. After completing their residency in General Surgery, they went on to complete a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Today, the expert holds certifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Surgery. Previously, they were an Assistant Professor of Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Currently, they work as an Associate Professor of Medicine, as an Associate Professor of Surgery, and as a Director of Surgical Clinical Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
