Dr. Mark Newell, MD, FACS, MMM

Dr. Mark A. Newell has specialized experience in the fields of General Surgery and Trauma Surgery. They earned their BPharma from the University of Texas at Austin, their MMM from Carnegie Mellon University, and their MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After completing their residency at New York Medical College, they went on to complete a fellowship at New York Medical College. Today, the expert holds certifications in Surgical Critical Care and Surgery. Previously, they held roles as an Associate Professor of Surgery at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and Chief of Staff at Vidant Medical Center. Currently, they work as a Professor of Surgery at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
