Dr. Luke Funk, MD, MPH, FACS

Dr. Luke M. Funk has specialized experience in the fields of General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. They earned their BS in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, their MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and their MD from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. After completing their residency in General Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital, they went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Today, the expert holds a certification in Surgery. Previously, they held roles as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Currently, they work as a Chief of the Division of General Surgery at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital and Vice Chair of Research and Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
