About Dr. Kevin Alfred Shapiro, MD, PhD

Dr. Kevin A. Shapiro has 9 years of experience in the field of Pediatric Neurology and Vascular Neurology. He earned both his BA in Biology and Psychology and his Ph.D. in Psychology from Harvard University and his MD from Harvard Medical School. After completing both an internship and a residency in Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital, he completed another residency in Child Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the UCSF School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in Vascular Neurology and Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the UCSF School of Medicine and as the Director of the Pediatric Language Clinic at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco. Currently, he serves as an Attending Neurologist at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, as a Pediatric Neurologist with Cortica Healthcare, and as an Affiliate Neurologist at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego. He is also a Co-Director of the Cortica Innovation Network and the Executive Director of Research and Therapeutic Technologies for Cortica Healthcare.
