Dr. Julie Rizzo, MD

Dr. Julie A. Rizzo has specialized experience in the fields of Surgical Critical Care, General Surgery, and Trauma Surgery. They earned their BA in Chemistry from Hamilton College and their MD from the University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. After completing their residency in General Surgery at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, they went on to complete a fellowship in Burn Surgery Service at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research. Today, the expert holds certifications in Surgical Critical Care and Surgery. Previously, they held the role of Burn Surgeon at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research. Currently, they work as an Associate Professor at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Assistant Professor at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and Director at Brooke Army Medical Center.
