Dr. Joseph Fernandez-Moure, MD

Dr. Joseph S. Fernandez-Moure has specialized experience in the fields of Critical Care Medicine, Surgical Critical Care, Trauma Surgery, and Acute Care Surgery. They earned their BA in Biochemistry from Middlebury College, their MS in Molecular Oncology, Stem Cell Biology from Rutgers University School of Graduate Studies, and their MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. After completing their residency in General Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, they went on to complete a fellowship in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Today, the expert holds certifications in Surgical Critical Care and Surgery. Previously, they held roles as a Research Associate at Houston Methodist Hospital, an Instructor at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and an Assistant Professor at Duke University Health System. Currently, they work as a Course Director at Advanced Trauma Life Support and Associate Professor at Duke University Health System.
