Dr. John Karamichalis, MD

Dr. John M. Karamichalis has specialized experience in the fields of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. They earned their BS from the University of Manchester School of Medical Sciences and their MBBS and MD from the University of Oxford Medical Sciences Division. After completing their residency in General Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, they went on to complete a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Today, the expert holds certifications in Congenital Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery, and Surgery. Previously, they held the role of Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Currently, they work as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Co-Director at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and Associate Program Director at Columbia University.
