Dr. John Downs, MD, FCCM, FCCP

Dr. John B. Downs has specialized experience in the fields of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. They earned their BS from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and their MD from UF College of Medicine. After completing their residency in Anesthesiology at UF Health Shands Hospital, they went on to complete a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at UF Health Shands Hospital. Today, the expert holds certifications in Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology. Previously, they held roles as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, as the Medical Director of Anesthesiology and Pulmonary Medicine at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Currently, they work as the Medical Director of the Respiratory Care Program at Hillsborough Community College, as a Professor Emeritus at USF Health Morsani College of Medicin, and as a Staff Anesthesiologist at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
