About Dr. James William Holsapple Jr, MD

Dr. James W. Holsapple Jr. has over 28 years of experience in the field of Neurological Surgery. He earned his BA in Physics from Drake University and his MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After completing his internship in Internal Medicine at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, he went on to complete another internship in General Surgery, a residency in Neurological Surgery, and a research fellowship in Neurological Surgery at the SUNY Upstate Medical University. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as an Attending Neurosurgeon at Crouse Hospital, Upstate University Hospital, St. Joseph’s Health Hospital, and the Syracuse VA Medical Center. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery and as the Chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the Boston University School of Medicine. He also serves as the Director of the Neurological Surgery Residency Program and as the Chief of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the Boston Medical Center.
