About Dr. Igor Melnychuk, MD

Dr. Igor Melnychuk has over 20 years of experience in the field of Infectious Diseases and Wound Care. He earned his MD from Karl-Franzens University Medical School in Austria. After completing his internship in Internal Medicine at Interfaith Medical Center/Brooklyn Jewish Hospital, he went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at the University of South Florida. Today, this expert is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Medical Director of Infection Control at Baptist Medical Center, and as Consultant of Infectious Diseases at St. Vincent Medical Center, Dunedin Hospital, and CHI St Alexius Health. Currently, he serves as the Chief of the Wound Care Department and as a Consultant of Infectious Diseases at the Charles George VA Medical Center. He is also an Assistant Professor at VCOM-Carolinas Osteopathic Medical School.
